Son Heng Interiors was nominated as the interior fitting-out contractor for the newly-erected building. The project was under the spotlight as the library was to be named after the late Madam Kwa Geok Choo. Equipped with a factory space of 40,000 square feet just 10 minutes away from Tuas Checkpoint, Son Heng Interiors was able to provide space for mock-ups, allowing preview of the fitting-out by clients and consultants before mass production.
The curved seminar room tables in the 16 seminar rooms are measured on site before production to ensure all tables fit the radius of the steps. Son Heng also mass-produced modular timber paneling for the school’s function hall and moot court. In addition to the interior fitting-out, Son Heng also fabricated the loose furniture and system furniture in offices and library.
The project has been featured in the February issue of a local construction magazine, Construction Plus, for its distinctive features in a historically prominent landmark. You may find more details of the article here.
